Geek, Re-defined

What comes to mind when you hear the word: "geek?"
Do you see yourself as you were in high school, sporting the giant black-and-taped glasses, high-water jeans and trusty protractor always by your side? Or do you think of kids with blue hair, always talking about anime? Math-letes? Band kids? Super-spellers?

Whatever it is that defines the word for you, think again. "Geek" is about to get a whole lot cooler. Here in the 21st century, "geek" has become a verb.

GeekVerb:
 1. To love, to enjoy, to celebrate, to have an intense passion for.
  2. To express interest in.
  3. To possess a large amount of knowledge in.
  4. To promote.

So what is it that you "geek?" You can geek anything! Have an affinity for botany? Maybe you geek agriculture, philosophy, poetry, hockey, backgammon, bingo. Maybe you geek chocolate or dogs, or DIY.
